TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Terre Haute Parks and Recreation has announced the temporary closure of several local parks due to damage from Thursday’s severe thunderstorms.
According to a release from Terre Haute Parks and Recreation Director of Recreation, Kilie Smith, the parks that will be temporarily closed include Collett Park, Deming Park, Fairbanks Park, and Maple Avenue Park.
The release notes that all the parks will be open once Duke Energy is able to clear fallen powerlines and restore power, clear debris, and make other repairs.
