(Reuters) – Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc missed estimates for quarterly sales on Tuesday in a sign that decades-high inflation kept people from spending on the restaurant’s burritos and rice bowls.
Comparable sales at the California-based chain rose 10.1% in the second quarter ended June 30, compared with analysts’ average estimate for a 10.9% rise, according to Refinitiv IBES.
