TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Terre Haute Catholic Charities is working to ensure everyone stays warm as winter weather begins to approach.
The organization has partnered with various local businesses to collect new and gently used coats to be cleaned by Courtesy Cleaner volunteers. The coats are for the Christmas Store and the clothing closet at Bethany House.
The Christmas Store helps families in financial need to get gifts for the holidays. Coats are available for all ages ranging from infants to adults along with other articles of clothing and toys.
“Thanks to our amazing partnerships and the donations we get, everyone who shops at the Christmas Store, is is free of charge,” Development Coordinator for Catholic Charities Jessica Murphy said. “There is no monetary cost associated with the Christmas Store for those families who need to shop.”
The coat drive continues through tomorrow. To register for the Christmas Store, click here.
“If you missed registration, we’re happy to help you sign up,” Murphy said. “You can call our office (812)-232-1447 and then just select option one for Bethany House and let them know that you need to signup for the Christmas Store.”
