EDGAR COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) – More than 70 people were taken to jail late Friday night and early Saturday morning when the Edgar County, Illinois Sheriff’s Office was called to a party involving underage drinking.
According to information on the sheriff’s office Facebook page, deputies found a “large underage drinking party” after responding to a complaint of cars blocking the road south of Vermilion. The exact location of the party was not immediately provided.
Seventy-two people were taken by bus to jail, according to the sheriff’s office post.
An ambulance was called for three people who were experiencing alcohol-related emergencies.
